Timmy Curran and Todd Hannigan join forces

Timmy Curran is not your average household name but in surfing circles, him and Todd Hannigan are firm favourites and quality musicians.

As a successful pro surfer and pioneer of aerial tricks, Timmy Curran has also had his share of the limelight, but in music he has possibly found his home.

Todd Hannigan is now producing Curran's next record, at the Brotheryn Studios, and has a wealth of experience in his pocket to call on. He has produced early tracks for Jack Johnson and scored music for excellent Thicker Than Water, The September Sessions, FLOW and most recently Waveriders.

The working title for the new album is Verses and scheduled for release this autumn. In conjunction with the release will be a film called Union Express which follows Curran visiting surf spots on the Amtrak line in California in the past year or so.

You can download some of Curran's earlier tracks if you like your music acoustic, simple and honest.

Woodshed Films, who have been behind most of the films mentioned above, are touring new film The Present by Thomas Campbell in the US right now and all being well HUCK is helping to present a screening of the film in London in the coming months.  We'll keep you posted, but other UK dates start on April 22nd.
