Tony Hawk Show
Here's a very strange but sort of interesting one. Coming this Fall, Quiksilver and Tony Hawk will come together to create an event that melds skateboarding, music and art in the heart of Paris.
It's called the Tony Hawk Show and will take place from November 20 - 21 at The Grand Palais, a colossal construction of glass and steel, originally built for the Universal Exhibition of 1900.
An immense street course will play host to pro-skaters for a Street Contest Invitational, demos and introductory sessions with Quiksilver riders.
On November 21, Tony Hawk, Andy MacDonald, Sandro Dias and Sergie Ventura among others, will be sessioning a king size vert ramp.
Some 5,500 lucky spectators and the who’s who of boardsports, including *deep breath* Kelly Slater, Robby Naish, Tom Carroll, Mark Richards, Mathieu Crépel, Jérémy Florès, Christian Hosoi, Travis Rice, Lisa Andersen, Samantha Davies, Dane Reynolds, Antoine Albeau, Candide Thovex, Markku Koski. … will be there for what promises to be one of Tony Hawk's finest ever shows.
This should be interesting. If you can cop a ticket, it sounds like it's more than worth checking.
