Surfer/environmentalist Dave Rastovich is launching a kayak expedition, TransparentSea, down the coast of California on September 29.
Rastovich is starting this 260-mile journey in Santa Barbara and will paddle down to the Mexico border by October 25.
He will be joined by surf artist and activist Chris Del Moro, photographer Hilton Dawe and professional women’s longboard champion Lauren Hill.
The aim is to highlight the annual migration path of the endangered grey whale population, as well as wider marine conservation issues.
