‘Ultimate Wave Tahiti’ premiere
The closest thing you'll get to a barrel in Tahiti.
A new 3D surf film Ultimate Wave Tahiti from Quiksilver featuring Kelly Slater and Raimana Van Bastolaer is premiering at the California Science Center in Los Angeles on February 8, 2010.
The film explores the surf culture in the French Polynesia islands, specifically Tahiti, and the coral reef eco-systems surrounding it.
Says Slater: "Making The Ultimate Wave Tahiti while surfing Teahupo'o was an amazing experience. The technology used to create this film is going to help audiences understand the incredible power behind waves and will further educate future generations to protect the world's oceans."
