Vans x Andy Davis shoes

Vans have collaborated with the San Diego illustrator Andy Davis to produce a few pieces in a limited-edition collection called Ando and Friends.

The run includes two t-shirt designs and a pair of sneakers and flip flops for both guys and girls baring Davis' bold, but simple surf inspired designs.

Says Davis: "My art is a daydream. I get lost in the process of painting and drawing; it is the only part of my life that has never had rules. Every person that sees my work has a different interpretation of the meaning and I like it that way."

Nattily, the guys shoes are illustrated with a names of right or left breaks. Pretty handy for those of us who aren't quite au fait with our extremities.
