HUCK visits the Etnies Showroom, NYC

Recently my friends over at Sole Tech invited me over to the infamous Etnies Showroom located in a sick-ass building in Manhattan's illustrious Soho district.

It was there that they showcased their newest lines from Etnies, Emerica, eS' and Altamont.

Sole Tech VP Don Brown, Etnies PR guy Ashton Maxfield and Altamont/eS'/Emerica head honcho, Brian Jones were on hand to give tours of what each brand has in store for the upcoming months.

A small portion of the new Etnies line. Slimmed down and super clean designs make this line their best yet. They've even got a new vulcanized version of the classic Etnies Rap shoe.

In the back offices are some classic shoes on display. Not only is the original Etnies Natas shoe sitting pretty, but a handful of collaborations through the years are getting their shine. Verte, Shut and In4mation were all up in the mix.

If you're not familiar with Sole Tech's STI Research Lab, you should be. 100% dedicated to the progression of skateboarding, all Sole Tech's shoes are designed and tested with state-of-the-art equipment, in conjunction with legit skate obstacles. Their goal is to promote the longevity of each shoe, improve the performance of riders and limit the risk of skate-related injury. Hell yeah! Check out these shoes here. The lab has a simulated kickflip machine and these two goofy footed pairs went through it over 2,500 times or something like that. That's over 2,000 kickflips people; and look at that minimum wear! That's because these kicks have something new called e: suede. Get on it.

Billy Rohan tagged along for the tour. Here he is holding the new eS' Bobby Worrest 22 oz. Coors Lite Cozy. Bobby also has a brand new signature shoe and full line of signature clothing. His Dickies inspired pants have a little pocket designed to hold your tagging markers. Psyched for those.

Don Brown gives the lowdown on some of the newest Etnies shoes. Clean design, super comfortable and made to last.

The giant e Suede poster.

The Coors Lite inspired Bobby Worrest tongue. The shoe is badass as well.

In my humble opinion, at the moment Altamont is making some of the best clothing around. Their new line is no different, featuring some of the best shirt, jeans, hat and jacket designs yet. There's even a pair of sweatpant chillers designed by Andrew Reynolds himself. Look for Altamont collaborations with OFF Bowery and No Age dropping soon. Shit's gonna be hot.
