Volcom collected over 5000 pairs of jeans as part of the Give Jeans A Chance collaboration with the National Coalition for the Homeless, November - December 2009.
A hundred stores across North America put out a donation bin to collect jeans and the jeans were then distributed across fifty homeless shelters.
Says homeless man Bob Hurt: "One of the hardest parts of living on the streets is the wind and the rain. This pair of jeans comes in handy and it will keep me warm. It has no holes in it, they are great. Thanks man, I really appreciate it.”
