Filmmaker Jamie Jones has been announced as the winner of HUCK publisher The Church of London's recent Žižek Creative Brief.
The brief was held in conjunction with philosopher Slavoj Žižek and Verso Books and the theme was based on Žižek's book, Living In The End Times, that highlights the catastrophic dangers facing mankind: ecology, economy, biology and society.
Jones' film The Last Capitalist features a lone demagogue preaching the values of neo-liberal capitalism in what is revealed to be a post-apocalyptic London Docklands in 2050.
Jones was picked by Žižek himself and he e wins a selection of radical literature, including Žižek's entire Verso backlist, including the Revolutions series.
