train travel is so underrated, at least in england where it is expensive....i've had some of the best journeys on trains, and it was a delight to take my first child on a unique train ride up through the middle of corsica from the beaches to the mountainous passes where the water cascaded down crystal clear and cold....she loved it and made a lasting impression on her

plane travel is now so ubiquitous and horribly coloured by sleazyjet and ryanair that we should take the time and make a choice to travel by other means....whats the rush anyway? if only eurostar hadn't cocked up.....

I still wander. The thing that gets me every time about flying is that it's like time travel! I mean, in a few hours you can be on the other side of the planet. That's just crazy to me but I think most people take it for granted, and fail to truly appreciate the wonder that is flight.

I can't help but think people will only truly appreciate what they had when rising fuel prices make it's too expensive for most people once more. So for now it looks like we're the lucky ones.
