Top 10 WTWTA gifts

1. Where The Wild Things Are x Opening Ceremony costume
There was never any doubt that the wolf costume was going to be top of the list. I mean, who isn't going to want to dress up like Max? Plus, unlike most costumes, it's not a complete pain in the arse to wear. Just button it up and you are ready to party!

2. Girl Where The Wild Things Are pro series decks
Girl Skateboards has released no less than seven decks to celebrate the film. Each board features one of the Wild Things and they are proving to be very popular. If you can manage to bag all seven then you will have a pretty profitable collection on your hands.

3. Dave Eggers The Wild Things Fur Edition
Dave Eggers' novel based on the screenplay is available with a limited edition fur cover. This is an opportunity to see what went into the creative process of making this glorious film. Plus, it doubles up as a pillow!

4. Medicom x Where The Wild Things Are toys

Hip beyond belief vinyl toy manufacturers Medicom have released four (yes, four) different sets but this one is by far the best. The insanely popular Kubrick model has been transformed into mini monuments of the film’s most loved characters.

5. Art Kicks Where The Wild Things Are shoes
The artist behind Art Kicks, Evan Schultz, has hand-painted a pair of Vans Slip-Ons with characters from the book. The shoes are available from his website for $149. Not exactly what you would call a bargain. But they do look pretty tight.

6. Shawn Records' Owner of this World photography book
The father of the film's star, Max Records, has launched his new book Owner Of This World via Publication Studio. The book documents the four months Shawn and Max spent in Australia working on the film and it features some exclusive behind-the-scenes photos, like this one (below).

7. Where The Wild Things Are Motion Picture Soundtrack
The album was created by Yeah Yeah Yeahs' lead singer. The single, All is Love, has been nominated for a Grammy for best song. Karen O and a bunch of random kids singing? Sounds good to us!

8. Where The Wild Things Are hand puppet
Maybe it was all those years spent watching Sooty and Co. but I just love puppets and cannot help but find them utterly hilarious. This is a pretty endearing toy that will no doubt provide hours of fun for a younger relative. Solves that age-old Christmas present dilemma in a jiffy!

9. Lakai Where The Wild Things Are pack
Lakai has produced some stylish limited edition shoes and T-shirts. We could accuse them of jumping on the merchandise bandwagon but Spike Jonze is one of the co-founders, so we generously decided to let them get away with it.

10. Where The Wild Things Are iPhone App
This may be a pretty shameless cash-in but it does have some pretty cool features. You can have a clod battle with Carol and watch him dance to the music in your iTunes. You can also catch additional scenes from the film and listen to the entire soundtrack.
