Playing as foppish hard-man Nero, you have to track down the evil Dante after he slaughters your clan of demon hunters.

Combining elements of elementary puzzle-solving and arcade-style hacking-the-shit-out-of-everything-that-moves, this new instalment in the Devil May Cry series does little to break with the past.

However, that is not to say that it is a bad thing. With the combined weapons of a pistol, turbo-charged sword and a demonic claw; you can have plenty of fun dispensing of evil jesters, possessed suits of armour and massive fuck-off bosses, all whilst racking up ludicrous points for stylish combos.

Power-ups and collectables come thick and fast, further adding to the over-blown arcade nature of the game but adding an extra element of customisation as you pick your skill upgrades to suit your fighting style.

Although rather brainless and far from ground breaking, this is still highly entertaining and makes a pleasant diversion from the real world. Oh, and it looks pretty damn good as well!
